Restrict all use of ANPR cameras to the police only for crime prevention

What the petition asks

To restrict the use of ANPR cameras to the police for their use for crime prevention only.
Remove the use of ANPR cameras by 3rd party car park companies and speed cameras and make it illegal for them to do so.
ANPR was originally designed for use by the police for tracking criminal activity. Since then, no rules governing the use of ANPR have been implemented allowing 3rd party car park companies and speed cameras to exploit innocent drivers and profit from it.
