Government to ensure that no Tax Payers' money goes to Notre-Dame reconstruction

What the petition asks
Notre-Dame has been damaged by fire and the French have indicated that they want other countries to foot the bill and pay for it to be rebuilt. The French and the Catholic Church are plenty rich enough to pay for this. We have need in this country to pay for. They must pay for it themselves.
We have need in this country and we have not gone through austerity to start paying for restorations in other countries. This is a religious building and should be paid for by the religious organisation that it is owned by, represents and supports. Donations from the private sector have already been pledged. We should not contribute.
