Abolish universal credit
Rejected

What the petition asks
Do away with this benefit, it claims to make single parent workers better off but in reality throws families into poverty.
If you make any changes in your life, ie: change your job or address and are on benefits the government will force you onto universal credit. You will be allowed to keep the first £199 you earn, any thing over this amount the government will take 64 pence per £1 . How can that encourage people to work.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
