What the petition asks
We need a day to celebrate the people who built the world we live in today. Some of the most important people that have ever lived started out in the trades and construction industry including Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Christopher Wren, Jesus Christ and Tommy Walsh.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can only accept petitions which call for actions that are the responsibility of the UK Government and Parliament. It's not the Government's or Parliament's responsibility to create national holidays for people who do a particular type of job.
