Nationalise all public transport, increase usage and reduce emissions.

What the petition asks

We need to act quickly to reduce our carbon footprint, and increasing the access to and quality of public transport services is a key step in this process. We believe that nationalising the rail and bus services will be the quickest way to make these necessary changes.
Kent parents pay over £290-400 per child per year for school buses that sometimes don't show up. Train fares today are higher than ever and rising continually. Expensive and unreliable public transport is deterring much of the public from using it unless they need to, and they are using individual cars instead. Privatisation and local "competition" within public transport have evidently not delivered - the government must take control to make a favourable, eco-friendly alternative to cars.
