Fund proper aftercare for those discharged following self-harm/suicide attempt

What the petition asks
If you are admitted into hospital following self-harm or, worse, an attempt to take own life you will be met by psychiatrics once you're fit who will assess you for around 5-10 minutes. After this you will be sent on your way with a leaflet containing crisis numbers. This is not enough.
We tell people that they need to talk more so when they do cry out for help, we should be doing more than handing out leaflets. Sometimes they don’t even have a leaflet so patients are asked to take a screenshot of the only copy they had from their mobile. This is just not enough, what is more serious than someone saying they no longer wish to live in this world? We have to do more.
