Obligatory Reporting of Rent Payments on Credit Files same as Mortgage Payments
Rejected
15 signatures
What the petition asks
Rent is one of the most expensive bills people have if they don't have a mortgage yet nothing shows on your credit file if you pay your rent on time. Time to get this reported every month same as Mortgage repayments.
Rent payments have never counted towards building your credit history but they should.
This should be a legal requirement same as mortgage repayments.
If you don't pay your rent on time you can also get evicted same as mortgages therefore regardless of your financial situation you should be treated the same
