Stop local councils from banning licensed ice cream vans from street trading.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

London council has recently decided to try to ban all ice cream vans from street trading. Due to emissions. If this happens and other councils follow suit it will be the end of one of England’s greatest traditions.
All ice cream vans are licensed and have a food standard rating, an ice cream van can cost upto £100k and are no different to delivery vans, catering vans and HGVs.
Why single out the ice cream van for a total ban?

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions on issues that are the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Street trading, including ice cream vans, is regulated by local councils.
