What the petition asks
As the UK makes moves to declare a climate emergency let us be the 1st to ensure our children’s generation understand how they & the wider community can make a difference. Something that generations before have lacked. Children are our future and we owe it to them to help future proof their world.
Whilst many schools are making moves to do their bit, we encourage continuity across all years ensuring ALL children are environmentally aware. This petition pushes for the following topics for UK early years syllabus’s through to GCSEs:
1. Global climate change
2. Recycling & pollution
3. Reducing waste
4. Healthy eating - eating ethically & responsibly
Learning through videos, books, projects, visits etc can be integrated with other topics & the core subjects of English & Maths.
