Revoke VAT increase on the installation of renewable energy sources

What the petition asks
On 1st October, HMRC, will increase the VAT levy on the installation of renewable energy sources from 5% to 20%. Installation is already costly, this will lead to far fewer homes being able to make changes.
On 1st May, Parliament declared we are facing a Climate Change Emergency, yet HMRC are set to increase VAT from 5% to 20% on the cost of installation of sources of renewable energy in the home.
Installation is already costly and this increase will see more households unable to make the change.
We believe Parliament must revoke this, and remove VAT from the cost of installation.
