Congestion in Saffron Walden

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

We are two students studying Citizenship GCSE. As part of our coursework, we are taking Active Citizenship action on a issue that we would like to have an influence on. We have investigated the negative effect that the congestion has on Saffron Walden.
We feel that the only long term solution is to buildd a relief road around Saffron Walden. Click to sign if you support a relief road aroiund Saffron Walden.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The maintenance and safety of local roads is the responsibility of your local council.

You can find out which local authority is responsible using a postcode and this website: https://www.gov.uk/request-speed-limit-change

You could raise this issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them:
