What the petition asks
It is common that Home Office often takes much time to conclude the applications for LTR and ILR. Similar is the case with the appeals process, which usually takes 6 months to 1 year or maybe more. Therefore, many immigrants stuck here due to the delayed processing of their immigration matters.
1. Applicants/appellants be allowed to visit back home pending the conclusion of their applications/appeals for a limited period of upto 4 weeks.
2. In the alternative, policy for treating the applications/appeals as automatically withdrawn upon traveling abroad during the pendency of their applications/appeals be amended to the effect that, such applicants/appellants who return back home should be allowed to re-enter the UK upon having positive outcomes of their applications/appeals.
