What the petition asks
Child poverty amongst single parents is increasing.
Many single parents don't earn enough to contribute into their pension schemes. The cost of living is not directly proportionate to the number of adults in a household. Negative consequences for public health and financial security.

Countless articles on singe parents not being able to pay into pensions, many on single parent and an increase in child poverty. Myself, a teacher, unable to support our rent, my child's reasonable development needs, and also at the same time pay into a pension deliberately intended to compensate for the sacrifices of long-term public service.
