To avoid Benefit Cap, you need to work for 16 hours in most cases. Where the issue exists, is when paid Weekly, every 2 weeks, 4 weekly or on a set day per month, for example last Friday. Wage cut of days mean that you only have 4 weeks pay some months, so people get Benefit Capped

As a single parent with 2 children and Social Housing Rent being £820.47 per month, they need to earn £569 not to be affected.
If only paid for 4 weeks, its £525.44 where as if 5, £656.80.

If people have a contract of employment for 16 or more hours a week, they should be able to sent it in, and be exempt from the Cap.
