Petition · past parliament
The FCO should amend its current travel advice on Sri Lanka to allow all travel.

What the petition asks
Following the Easter Sunday Bombings in Sri Lanka the FCO issued advice not to travel there. This advice is inconsistent with that being given re other countries eg Egypt, and does not take into account the current, improved security situation in the country. The FCO should now change its advice.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. The FCO provides advice on travel to various countries, which is updated regularly. At present, the FCO no longer advises against all but essential travel to Sri Lanka.
