What the petition asks

Theresa May is resigning and, as it stands, the Conservative Tory will nominate amongst themselves a new PM with their own Brexit strategy. The country is in crisis and bitterly divided. We demand that the new PM ensures the support of the country through a People's Vote.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

To hold a general election when there is a change of Prime Minister in office.
If Theresa May resigns as Prime Minister a general election must be held.
