What the petition asks
If a government for whatever reason change the person holding the position of Prime Minister, a General Election must be called within 3 months.
This will allow the electorate to confirm conference in the person holding the highest office in Government.

Political parties have the ability to change Prime Minister with no public vote. This is not democratic and does nothing for public confidence in British politics.
A Prime Minister has the ability to choose the whole cabinet and dictate policy. It is only fair and just that this person has the support of the majority of the electorate.
