END BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

BSL is a legislation that allows authorities to seize, kennel and euthanise dogs that are deemed ‘type’.
A dog that is deemed ‘type’ can be any dog that has any characteristics similar to a pitbull terrier.
Thousands of innocent dogs have been seized because of how they look.
Thousands of dogs have been put to sleep and have been nothing but loyal loving pets.
This law and legislation needs to be changed.
UNLESS A DOG IS PROVEN TO BE AGGRESSIVE AND A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC, NO DOG SHOULD BE SEIZED, KENNELLED AND EUTHANISED BY HOW IT LOOKS.
Not only will changing this law save the government money by reducing the resources they need to use but it will also ensure loving family pets are left alone.
