What the petition asks

It is a very important time in the recent history of the country. Following the resignation of Teresa May it should be up to the people to decide who our next leader is. An unelected leader chosen by a Conservative party riddled with in-fighting is not representative of the nation.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

If Theresa May resigns as Prime Minister a general election must be held.
