A 2 step, 10 year Brexit - EEA/EFTA (soft) Brexit first - 2nd referendum in 2029

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

The UK must leave the EU but in a way that reflects the closeness of the 2016 vote. We propose that the UK leaves the EU in a way that strengthens EEA/EFTA (with a Norway plus deal). And then take 10 years to determine (via a guaranteed 2nd referendum) if we’re happy with this softer Brexit option.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not sure what question you'd like to be put in a second EU referendum.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
