Referendum on Capital Punishment

What the petition asks
The government should hold a referendum on the death penalty so Briton's can decide on whether they want it bought back 55 years after it was abolished. Capital punishment should be bought back so that people who have convicted a crime like murder should be hanged, Life for a life.
Prisons should not be homes for murderers and rapists, the public does not want to pay for these kind of people to be in British prisons. Death Penalty would stop people and decrease the crime rates but would also stop people re-offending. If someone murders another human they have broken the law and given up their human rights, including the right to live.
