Make domestic abuse policies mandatory in all workplaces in England

What the petition asks
I lost my job as a result of domestic abuse. When I tried to explain to my employer what was happening at home, they didn't want to listen and sacked me.
With domestic abuse awareness, training and a mandatory domestic abuse policy in place, employers can stronger support employees who disclose domestic abuse.
Work for many is a safe haven, losing their financial independence makes them dependent on their abuser putting them in danger.
A domestic abuse policy could help save lives but with only 5% of organisations doing this, it's not enough, it has got to be mandatory.
