What the petition asks
D-Day marked the start of the liberation of Europe from fascist tyranny. When the allied forces landed in Normandy on the 6th June 1944 they were fighting for freedom, democracy and the rule of law. Inspired by the 75th anniversary in 2019, I call on the Govt to make this an annual national holiday.
