Petition · past parliament

Make homophobia, whatever form it is received in. A criminal offence.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Homophobia, should be treated the same as racism in terms of punishment. A bigger crackdown should be happening to protect people under the LGBTQ+ umbrella.
I myself have been on the receiving end of homophobia, so know first hand what it can do to people.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and homophobic hate crimes are already illegal.
