Create a seperate bank holiday for VE day 2020

What the petition asks
The government has stated that it intends to move the early May bank holiday from the traditional Monday to the Friday to coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE day.
Although lordable there are two problems with doing this.
Firstly, insufficient thought has been placed into the effects of moving the b/h for those within society who have made plans and arrangements far in advance relying on the predictable nature of the May b/h.
Secondly this historic event should be marked in it's own right with it's own dedicated b/h.
