A change of party leader in the governing party should force a general election.

What the petition asks

With the resignation of Theresa May the British public is now faced with the prospect of a Prime Minister who has been selected from within the party but not elected to lead the nation. A choice that I'm sure the British public would want to be offered.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

To hold a general election when there is a change of Prime Minister in office.
