What the petition asks

It’s about time the TV licence was abolished. In 2019 with so many options for premium TV, online streaming etc, why should people be forced to pay for a channel when there are so many options available to them. The BBC should specifically charge for their channels if wanted, not tax a whole nation

Also, it’s disgusting that over 75’s are being forced to pay now. Especially when you see the bumper salaries that their “stars” are being paid.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Abolish the BBC television license.
Continue to fund free TV licences for the over 75 in the future.
