What the petition asks
In order for a TV to be enforceable you must be watching bbc programmes. I propose to allow an option to block all BBC programmes negating the need to pay the licence fee.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We can't accept your petition because it's not the case that you only have to pay for a TV licence if you watch BBC programmes. We are therefore unsure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
