Introduce residence visa policy for BNO Passport holders in Hong Kong
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Due to historic and political reasons, British National (Overseas) Passport Holders do not have any residence and citizen right in U.K despite they are British subject. It is urged that there should be a specific policy for those BNO holders to acquire residence visa and became citizen in future.
Being the counterpart of the Sino Joint Declaration, U.K. should have obligation to overlook the implementation of "One country Two System" policy in Hong Kong after 1997. However, the recent Extradition Bill purposed by HK government obviously corrupt the crux of rule of law in Hong Kong.
It is just and responsible for U.K. government to have a specific policy for those British subjects (BNO passport) to apply for residence visa and obtain a British citizenship if certain requirements met.
