THE BBC SHOULD SACK JO BRAND.
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
Joe Brand stating, whether in jest on a comedy programme or not, than milk shake throwing at people of a different political view should be replaced by throwing acid over the same politicians is manifestly irresponsible and dangerous and for the BBC to refuse to sanction her is unacceptable.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the Government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
