What the petition asks
The United Kingdom has maintained a monarchy for over a millennia. The monarchy no longer works or has any any real authority in government and has thus become redundant, as well as expensive. Once our current monarch Queen Elizabeth II dies, there should be a referendum on abolishing the Monarchy.
