Mandate environmental impact labelling on all goods sold in the UK.

What the petition asks
The environmental impact of goods that we buy must be clear to consumers at the point of purchase. We need clear labelling on the impact of production and transportation so that consumers can make informed decisions about what they buy and what they choose not to buy.
Product labelling requirements need to be extended to include standardised and auditable measures of environmental impacts across a range of criteria - from habitat and biodiversity loss, depletion of resources, waste products / emissions, to product durability / planned obsolescence & recyclability. Consumers urgently need this information so that they can drive change by supporting the organisations who are acting responsibly.
