What the petition asks
"My Choice" is a scheme where patients are charged for treatments, previously available on the NHS. Launched by Warrington and Halton Hospital this is part of a national pattern of treatment restrictions. Individual charges are unacceptable + discriminate against the poor. Reinstate the NHS.
Return the NHS
Free at the point of need,
Funded by general taxation,
Publicly owned managed and provided,
A comprehensive service (all the necessary treatments).
A universal service, available to all the people.
We call for funding for the NHS to match Western European countries.
Every £1 spent on health care returns £3 to the country in wealth and much more in health and happiness
We call for the reversal of privatisation in the NHS
A "pause" is not good enough. Scrap the charges.
