We want a Public Inquiry into the rise in knife crime stabbings and killings

What the petition asks

The number of fatal stabbings in England and Wales between 2017-18 was the highest since records began. There have been over 100 killings in first half of 2019.
Knifes and weapons stabbings were the largest single cause of death, totalling over 40 fatalities, with children included.
knife stabbing epidemic has reached an unprecedented levels with more than 31 deaths in the capital alone since the start of 2019.

We want a Public Inquiry to examine causes and possible solutions and make a recommendation to the government on how to resolve this knife epidemic that is killing our young people.
