What the petition asks
The Police fulfil an important role in the community&it's important that Police Officers&vehicles are clearly marked so that they are distinct from the public.
The deliberate imitation of these markings with the slogan"Polite Notice"or Blue/White check patterns is confusing for other road users.

Impersonation of a Police Officer is illegal under the Police Act 1996 for obvious reasons, we should not be having people on our roads dressed deliberately to go against the intention of this law and a hi-vis jacket that does not impersonate a police officer provides equal visibility.
