Make it law that the public vote on any pay increases for members of parliament

What the petition asks

Why should MPs decide if they get a pay rise? If we do not perform in our jobs and hit targets we dont get a payrise so why should MPs be any different? We should be given an opportunity to say yes or no to any payrise for our elected members.

In 2018 MPs had a pay increase of 1.8% bringing their pay up to £77k+.
Then this year the MPs agreed a pay increase of 2.7% which bumped them up to £79.5k. This is ridiculous.
I want it put in law that all payrises for MPs must be decided by them and then put to the public for their decision.
On the ballot it should state.
Agree.
Reject, to high
Reject, no rise
Having these options gives them an opportunity to come back with another request should it be rejected.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
