What the petition asks
Birmingham should not interfere in the foreign affairs of Somalia. UK recognises Somalia as a sovereign nation and passed a resolution in April 1960 requesting independence of Somalia as a whole. Local political issues of Somalia should not be brought into the council's chamber. Somalia for Somalis.
