What the petition asks
At a time of political crisis it is clearly not democratic for the Prime Minister to be chosen only by the Conservative party membership, particularly as they are in no way representative of the electorate as a whole.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
