What the petition asks
If Wales is to become a forward looking country, that presents a positive national identity to the rest of the world we must protect the Welsh identity. We demand that the Prince of Wales Bridge be renamed the Llywelyn Bridge in honour of the last true Prince of Wales.
The naming of a bridge is important to the cultural identity of a nation and in Wales, which has had an English prince forced upon the country since 1301, it is paramount that ancient, out-dated feudal associations are abolished if we are ever to progress into the next century with any confidence.
