Evoke Boris Johnson as PM and have a nationwide vote of the candidates instead

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Over the recent period of the Conservatives being voted in, both Cameron and May have quit their positions and we have been left with whoever the party decides. It should be the people’s vote not the parties. Johnson has proved why he is not a suitable fit, including his infamous racist remarks.
Boris Johnson has time and time again proven to make countless mistakes, bigoted comments and has already failed to get the EU’s support for his Brexit plan describing it as “simple and full of cheap promises.”

Whether you are for Brexit or not, Boris is not a suitable MP to take on this role, especially as he has let the UK down during lesser roles.

Two previous PM’s have stepped down in this role after creating this mess. Let the people decide who is suitable, we are a democracy after all.

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for Ministers to be sacked or for a vote of no confidence.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
