Make it a specific criminal offence to leave dogs in hot cars

What the petition asks
Dogs need more protection from ignorant owners who think it's ok to leave them in a car on a hot day.
I'm sick of reading reports about dogs being left in hot cars. Reading the current legislation makes it clear that we need to introduce harsher penalties for these people.
Currently, you "could be charged with animal cruelty." We need that to state those found guilty "WILL receive a hefty fine, and you WILL NO LONGER own that dog/those dogs."
