What the petition asks
Require OfCom to provide a simple phone number (like 1471) where phone users can report the previous call as a scam, abuse, or other nuisance, for immediate police investigation. If two separate users complain, the number would be automatically blocked on all exchanges.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
