What the petition asks

In recent history the UK have been appointed a PM mid-term due to a change of party leadership and without the mandate of the people. The electoral rules should be changed so that a general election is required within two months of such an appointment.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

To hold a general election when there is a change of Prime Minister in office.
