Ban ear piercing in children under 8 and ban shops from using piercing guns.

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

Going to shops in towns that use guns to pierce children’s ears causes unnecessary damage and pain. Children under 8 years are not mature enough or able to consent to modifying their body and it is not anyone else’s choice to do so for them!
This petition to to make it illegal to pierce the ears of a child under the age of eight years old. And also to make it illegal for shops such as Claire accessories and similar places to use piercing guns to pierce ears as they cause unnecessary damage to the ear. The law must change so that only children over the age of eight and adults can consent to modifying their body’s and they must go to a licenced piercing studio who use the correct and safe equipment.
