Legally recognise 'Parental Alienation' as a medical illness within Family Court

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

On May 25, the World Health Organization (WHO) included “parental alienation” as a “caregiver-child relationship problem” Code QE.52 in ICD-11, the International Classification of Diseases 11th Revision. ICD-11 comes into effect on Jan. 1, 2022 and now ask it be legally recognise it within UK Court.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do and what effect recognising parental alienation would have on the courts.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do or you might like to sign this petition instead

To introduce a law that recognises Parental Alienation as a criminal offence.
