What the petition asks
We go to work and we should be able to spend our hard earned cash on anything we like and the eradication of tobacco products could cause protests and the crime rate to go up in the UK. If this is to happen it could be more expensive for the current government and will lose out on a lot of money...
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
The Government have not announced a ban on tobacco products in 2030. They have stated that they have "a smoke-free 2030 ambition", they say that this will include acting to help people give up smoking.
