What the petition asks
In recent years the UK has experienced huge political changes, mainly the decision to leave the EU, this will have a huge impact on the younger generations who weren't allowed to vote but still have to live with the consequences of these important decision.
Senior conservative party members such as Ruth Davidson support lowering the voting age to 16. Along with The Labour Party, the SNP, the Liberal Democrats, Plaid Cymru and the Green Party all support voting at 16.
Why it was rejected
