Invest in and improve CAMHS and adult mental health services

What the petition asks
1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. How people cope and manage with mental health problems is getting worse with increasing amounts of self harm and suicidal thoughts. Only 1 in 8 adults are currently receiving treatment with majority on long waiting lists.
Increasing amounts of mental health sufferers are saying they need to get to 'crisis point' before receiving any help or treatment. In many cases, the conditions are getting significantly worse in the time waiting for treatment or whilst not receiving adequate or appropriate treatment from trained professionals.
Mental health and well being is just as important as physical health.
