What the petition asks
Petition Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to award the George Cross to the unknown volunteer of the Canals and River Trust who remained and opened the valves at Toddbrook Reservoir when it became evident that structural failure was imminent. Thereby safeguarding the the town of Whaley Bridge.
