Compulsory enlistment of school leavers who aren’t going onto further education.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Conscription/compulsory enlistment of school leavers into a national service if they are not going onto further education. Not just meaning army, airforce or navy, including emergency services. In an attempt to address the epidemic that is knife crime in the UK.
The nature of this is to address the issue that the vulnerable face and the “cultural element” of knife crime in today’s world in an attempt to reduce and hopefully illuminate knife crime on the streets in the UK. To be able to place them into a structured environment of learning with the potential to gift them education, life skills and discipline that sadly is lacking in today’s society. As a parent for my children who are 11&9 should they fall into this category, I will not hesitate to sign.
